The characteristics of surrogacy in the United States:
In the Unite State, Surrogacy law are very friendly, there is no federal law governing surrogacy, that means it’s up to each state to decide how to handle surrogacy, and almost all have them have slightly different regulations.
From a high level, there are 47 US states that recognize gestational surrogacy, 4 US states that do not recognize gestational surrogacy, and surrogacy contracts are "illegal" in those states (women who live in Nebraska, Michigan and Louisiana are not able to apply to become surrogates at this time).

The cost of surrogacy can be put into five (5) categories. The below percentages are approximate and based on our experience managing journeys.
The surrogate costs include the surrogate's base compensation, plus the additional benefits and protection put in place for her and her family, if a first surrogate mother, The total cost is $45,000-$60,000 ,if a second surrogate mother, the costs will be $55,000-$70,000.
The professional cost include agency fee and international parents support Fee. Varies from agency to agency, or you are an intended parents who live in the U.S. or abroad.
The screening fees include Psychological screening and Criminal Screening, total $1,900.
The legal fees include intended parent’s attorney for drafting of legal contract, surrogate’s attorney for legal contract review,parental rights attorney fees,trust account management, in total $8,500.
Life Insurance: One-year term, the premium is about $700, $250,000 policy for the Surrogate and $100,000 policy for the IPs.
Health Insurance: the premium is $400-$800 per month, up to 15 months, total $6,000-$10,000.

Matching in 4 steps:
After successful matching, you will be asked to signed the Surrogacy Anency Contract and deposit the first surrogacy costs to the trust account.
First, IVF clinic requires a series of medical records and evaluations when considering a woman as a gestational surrogate.
Signed Legal Contract
The legal contract is between the gestational carrier(the surrogate mother) and the intended parent(s). The surrogacy contract will be drafted and reviewed by professional surrogacy lawyers, and will also detail the responsibilities and obligations between the surrogate mother and the intended parents, outline their financial obligations and carefully list all the expenses they must cover throughout the surrogacy.
The surrogacy contract must also outline all potential risks and liabilities and describe each party’s responsibilities should certain contingencies occur.
Once the legal issues are out of the way, it is time to start prepping the surrogate cycle. You will receive the surrogate cycle schedule from the fertility clinic at the same time.
Medications for embryo transfer
At this stage your surrogate may be given birth control and medications to prepare your uterus for embryo transfer. Some possible medications your surrogate might take include estrogen and progesterone via pill, patch, or injection. She will also have the blood drawn and receive ultrasound checks to make sure that the cycle is operating properly.
The embryos are transferred into yours surrogate uterus and she will remain on bed rest for approximately 24 to 72 hours and continue medication.
Pregnancy
After the transfer there is a 10 days wait to confirm a pregnancy by blood work and 4 weeks until a heartbeat confirmation by ultrasound. The IVF doctor will be care the surrogate until to 10 weeks pregnancy, then she will transfer to a OB/GYN.
The surrogate mother's pregnancy is the same as your own, The common test will be done during pregnancy, like Trimester, Ultrasound, Amniocentesis, Chorionic Villus Sampling, Fetal Monitoring, Etc. Each time the surrogate mother completes these tests, she will update the doctor’s order and results to you in time.
Establishing Parental Rights
The surrogate mother is 18-20 weeks pregnancy, the lawyer will be finish the "PARENTAGE DOCUMENTS" for the Intended Parents to establish your parental rights.
Healthy, full-term babies (at least 37 weeks gestation) can usually go home from the hospital sometime between 24 and 48 hours after birth.
Pick up your baby return home country
You may be required to remain in the US for a few weeks and up to a month (or more) while obtaining your baby's passport,
